Submission
All abstracts/papers should conform to the required format and be uploaded on the website. Submission shall pass the double blind paper review first in order to be presented in the conference.
The official language is English. Please use our online submission system for submitting abstract before April 15, 2023. Prospective authors with accepted abstract are invited to submit their full paper through online submission system by June 15, 2023. Technical papers on the aspects related to (but not limited to) those in the topics of interest are invited for oral or poster presentation. Length of the full paper is limited within 4 pages (max). The Erfeng Irrigation Canal System
-Friendship between Fukuroi City and Pingtung County, Taiwan
Invited Speaker: Prof. Toru Torii
Dr. Toru Torii is a Professor Emeritus, The University of Tokyo.
He received his BS in Agriculture and ME in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tokyo in 1980 and 1982, respectively. From 1989 to 1999, he worked as an assistant professor, Department of Agricultural Engineering, where he worked with vision-based navigation of agricultural vehicles. From 1999 to 2006, he worked as an associate professor, Department of Precision Engineering, the University of Tokyo. Since 2006, he holds a position as a professor at Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, the University of Tokyo, where his work was focused on microfluidics and its applications. He became Professor Emeritus, The University of Tokyo, in 2018. Recent research interest is Erfeng Irrigation Canal system.Application of Unmanned System to Investigate and Assess the Integrity of the Erfeng Irrigation Canal System
Invited Speaker: Prof. Cheh-Shyh TingDr. Cheh-Shyh Ting is a Professor Emeritus and Distinguished Professor Rank Research Fellow specializing in Water Cultural Heritage Conservation and Hydrogeology at the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology. He has authored over 300 technical papers and two books on groundwater hydrology, groundwater resources evaluation and management, artificial recharge of groundwater, water cultural heritage conservation, and HydroGeoEcology. He has received several awards, including Outstanding Engineering Professor and National Water Resources Outstanding Contribution. Since 2010, Prof. Ting has actively participated in water cultural heritage conservation activities in Taiwan and co-led research projects related to the Babao Canal, the oldest irrigation system in Taiwan. His recent research interests include tangible cultural heritage and sustainability in historic urbans and creative cities. Prof. Ting is a member of several academic societies, such as US ICOMOS.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle: Current Situation in Japan and Future Plan in Shizuoka Prefecture
Invited Speaker: Prof. Akira Sato
Dr. Akira Sato, a distinguished scholar in Mechanical Engineering, is a professor at Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology. Prof. Sato has published many research papers in prestigious international journals and received awards for his outstanding contributions. Moreover, he received the Minister of Education Award for Science and Technology in recognition of development of Control System of Unmanned elicopter, in 2019. He serves as an editorial board member for several renowned academic journals and is an active member of various professional organizations. Prof. Sato currently holds positions as Vice President of Japan Helicopter Society, Director of Japan UAV Inspection Organization, and Advisor of Japan Industrial UAV Association.
